Invisalign cost in the UK is usually somewhere between about £2,000 and £5,500, depending on how much your teeth need to move. At Y Bont Faen Dental Centre in Cowbridge, tooth straightening starts from £2,112 (as of October 2026), and you can spread the cost with 0% finance over up to 12 months.
Wondering whether straight teeth are within your budget? You’re not alone. It’s one of the first questions we’re asked, so here’s an honest guide to what you’re paying for, what affects the price and how to make it more manageable. Prices across the UK are a general guide only; your own cost will be confirmed at your consultation.
Why does Invisalign cost vary from person to person?
Every Invisalign treatment is planned around your own teeth, so there isn’t one fixed price. The main things that make a difference are:
- How much movement is needed. Closing a small gap or straightening a couple of slightly crooked front teeth takes far fewer aligners than correcting crowding, an overbite or a crossbite.
- How long treatment takes. Shorter treatments use fewer aligners and fewer review appointments, so they usually cost less.
- Which type of treatment suits you. Some of our dentists, including Dr Francesca Alcock, offer Invisalign Go, which is designed for milder cases involving the front and side teeth.
- Retainers. Keeping your teeth in their new position afterwards is part of the plan, so it’s worth checking whether retainers are included in any quote you’re given.
Simple cases tend to sit at the lower end of the UK range and more complex ones towards the top. The only way to know your own price is a consultation and a scan.
What’s included in Invisalign cost in the UK at Y Bont Faen?
When you choose Invisalign with us, your treatment includes:
- a consultation to talk about what’s bothering you and whether Invisalign is the right option
- a digital scan of your teeth, which we use to plan every stage of your treatment
- your full set of custom-made aligners
- check-ups every 4 to 8 weeks, so we can keep an eye on your progress
- aftercare once your aligners are finished
You can see our current prices on our fee guide. We’ll always talk you through the full cost of your treatment before you decide to go ahead.
Can I spread the cost of Invisalign?
Yes. Any treatment over £250 can be paid for with interest-free finance, so you can spread the cost of Invisalign over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months. For example, a treatment costing £2,112 spread over 12 months would be £176 a month. Finance is provided by Tabeo and is subject to status.
Once you’ve had your consultation and you’re happy to go ahead, your dentist can complete the paperwork with you at the practice, or you can fill it in at home using an email link. The first payment is taken when the agreement is finalised, and then your treatment can begin.
Many of our patients tell us that a monthly payment makes straightening their teeth feel far more achievable.
Why are retainers so important?
Once your last aligner is finished, your teeth need time to settle. Without retainers, they can slowly drift back towards where they started, which nobody wants after months of treatment. We’ll explain your retainer options at the end of treatment and how long to wear them, so your new smile stays as straight as possible.
Is Invisalign worth the price?
For many people, yes, but it depends on what matters to you. Invisalign aligners are clear and removable, so you can take them out to eat, brush and floss as normal, and most people won’t notice you’re wearing them. They’re smooth too, which many patients find more comfortable than metal braces.
They do need commitment. Aligners only work if you wear them for 20 to 22 hours a day, and you’ll need to keep them clean. If that sounds hard to stick to, or your teeth need a type of movement that aligners can’t manage well, fixed braces may suit you better. We’ll always be honest with you about that at your consultation.
